Sound familiar?
Between “I don’t know what I want” and “I know exactly what I DON’T want anymore,” all that’s usually missing is a map. Here it is.
Sunday night, and there’s that knot in your stomach
Not because your job is terrible. It’s just … okay. And “okay,” over time, is an astonishingly expensive compromise — paid for in years of your life.
30 tabs of job postings, zero gut-level hits
You scroll through job titles like a menu in a language you don’t speak. The problem isn’t the selection — you just don’t know your own order yet.
You’re really good at it. It just does nothing for you.
Being able to and wanting to are two very different things. Choose by talent alone and you can quickly end up in a career that shines on paper and feels hollow on the inside.
“So, where do you see yourself in five years?”
Whether you’re picking a major, starting your career, or reinventing yourself at 40: the question is only annoying as long as you’re missing the foundation for an answer. Your interests are exactly that foundation.
The six interest areas at a glance
According to the RIASEC model, your career interests are made up of six areas. Nobody is just one of them — your result shows the complete mix and which areas call the shots for you.
Hands-On & Technical (Doer)
Building, fixing, rolling up your sleeves, being outdoors. Doers want to see what they’ve accomplished by the end of the day — dirt under the fingernails included, if that’s what it takes.
Investigative & Analytical (Thinker)
Understanding, analyzing, cracking puzzles. Thinkers ask the questions everyone else skips — and won’t rest until the why is settled.
Artistic & Creative (Creator)
Designing, expressing, making something new. Creators need room to breathe, not business as usual — to them, routine feels like Monday morning on an endless loop.
Social & Supportive (Helper)
Supporting, explaining, helping people move forward. Helpers recharge when their work actually lands with someone — an honest thank-you outweighs any metric.
Enterprising & Persuasive (Entrepreneur)
Persuading, leading, getting things rolling. Entrepreneurs see opportunities everywhere — and would rather take the stage themselves than watch from the back row.
Organized & Structured (Organizer)
Structuring, planning, keeping the show running. Organizers turn chaos into systems — and are the reason projects actually get finished.

Scientifically grounded: the RIASEC model
The test is based on the RIASEC model by psychologist John Holland — one of the most thoroughly researched models in vocational psychology. Its core idea: job satisfaction happens when your interests and your work environment match. Career counselors around the world work with these same six areas, and O*NET, the large US occupational database, classifies thousands of occupations using exactly this scheme.
As its construct basis, our test draws on the O*NET Interest Profiler and measures the strength of all six areas with 48 statements on a 7-point scale. So you don’t get sorted into a single box — you get your complete interest pattern. Because in everyday working life, “social with a creative streak” and “social with a knack for organization” are worlds apart.
In all honesty: an interest test doesn’t make decisions for you, and it doesn’t replace personal career counseling. It hands you the map — which road you take is still up to you.
Frequently asked questions
About 10 minutes for 48 questions. Find a quiet moment — this is about your career direction, not a high score.
You take the career test for free — all 48 questions — and immediately see your overall placement. The full in-depth analysis with a detailed report, action plan, and PDF unlocks with the 7-day access for $1.95 — then $39.95 every 4 weeks. Cancel anytime.
The RIASEC model is one of the most established approaches in vocational psychology, and 48 questions across all six areas make a solid measurement base. Still, the most important ingredient is you: answer based on what genuinely appeals to you — not on what would look good on a résumé.
It tells you something better: which criteria to search by. Instead of a single job title, you get your interest pattern plus concrete pointers on which fields and work environments match it. That lets you size up any job posting in seconds — on your own.
Especially then. Many people only realize years into their career that they once chose based on salary, chance, or other people’s expectations. Your profile shows you whether your current job matches your interests — or which tweak it’s still missing.
Yes. You can take the test without an account, and your result is only reachable via your personal link. Whether your boss ever finds out is entirely up to you.
Your résumé knows your past positions. Your interest profile knows your direction.
